I am the author of a dozen books on graphic design and typography, two of which have enjoyed multiple editions over decades. I served as Chairman and President of the Type Directors Club in New York City and lectured to professional designers and editors across the U.S., in Europe, and in South America. My primary career has been as a professor and Chair of the graduate Design Management program for ten years at the Shintaro Akatsu School of Design at the University of Bridgeport (tenure), and of graphic design for 28 years at Parsons School of Design, the Hartford Art School at the University of Hartford (tenure), the City College of New York, FIT, SUNY Westchester, Kent State University, and Syracuse University. I am now retired and enjoying life in Austria.
